£5,000 VITAL FANTASY FOOTBALL IS BACK!

Welcome to Vital Fantasy Football 2008/2009! The race is well and truly under way for that £5000 prize pot and it looks like we're in for another great season.

Things couldn't be closer at the top of the Vital Fantasy Football leaderboard right now, with five teams currently contesting the top spot, and a whole host of managers just behind, waiting for a slip up. As we race towards the crucial months of March, April and May, you're going to need to use your remaining transfers very wisely. Bringing in the right man at the right time could make the difference between a delightful or disastrous end to your season.

If you haven't already got a team in Vital Fantasy Football don't worry, it's not too late to start playing! There are still plenty of monthly prizes left to go for so click the REGISTER button in the left hand menu to pick a team and get started.

At the start of the season we highlighted who we felt might be the players to watch this year, and players like Bosingwa (Chelsea) and Jo (Manchester City) have certainly looked exciting, but we really didn't expect Wigan's Amr Zaki to start banging goals in like there was no tomorrow, nor did we expect former Arsenal fringe player Denilson to become the creative linchpin for The Gunners. There's bound to be plenty more surprises as the season wears on and, if you want to get on in this game, you're going to have to unearth one or two more gems before the end of the season.

Unlike most fantasy leagues Vital Fantasy Football is completely free to play and you could win up to £5000 so there's absloutely no reason for you and your mates not to get involved.

We've packed the Vital Fantasy Football site full of useful charts, tables and statistics to make picking a team, or making those all important transfers, as easy a possible. You also receive a weekly email which shows you your current points and highlights the top players in each position that week.

The popular mini-league feature also returns which means you'll be able to pit your team against your mates and work colleagues directly.

So what are you waiting for? Sit down, grab a notepad and start spending your fantasy £60m now. Your career in football management is about to begin...
